On Thursday 29th November 2007 Colin was awarded a joint commendation from Ian Johnston, Chief Constable, British Transport Police, Mike Bowron, Commissioner, City of London Police, Michael Fuller, Chief Constable, Kent Police and Tarique Ghaffur, Assistant Commissioner, Metropolitan Police Service. The citation reads: “For outstanding contribution and displaying dedication to duty and professionalism throughout the planning and implementation of the complex policing operation for Le Grand Depart du Tour de France, 6th – 8th July 2007.” His certificate was presented by Assistant Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur (see photo attached). Colin is an exemplary member of the International Police Association and its good to see him recognized at home. |
